Do you like science? Do you like to get your hands dirty and create new things?
Then get excited for the new after-school science club!
Tuesdays 3:30-4:30 p.m.
September 13-November 1st
(We will not have it on November 8- No School)
Open to 10 Students in Grades 4 and 5
We are beginning a new after school adventure that will help students learn about S.T.E.M Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. We will be providing a 10 week engineering program called Go Green: Engineering Recycled Racers, which is part of the Engineering Adventures curriculum developed by the Museum of Science, Boston. Engineering Adventures is a curricular program that introduces children to engineering and the Engineering Design Process. Throughout this unit, children will learn about green engineering and work to engineer toy race cars made of recycled materials. The unit is set in a real-world context: children will learn about the recycling culture in Senegal and the toys children make there.
We look forward to working with a small group of students in 4th and 5th grade and helping them to learn more about the engineering process.
