Announcements

  • Grade 5 parents, please find attached the Nature’s Classroom flyer (https://mason.sau89.org/wp-content/uploads/NC-January-Letter-Grade-5.pdf ).
  • Just a reminder for students regarding the Fisher Cats Reading Challenge!! Forms can be turned into the Main Office before March 1st (https://mason.sau89.org/wp-content/uploads/Fisher-Cats-Reading-Challenge.pdf.)
  • There will be NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, February 9th due to the Primary.
  • Wednesday, February 10th, 2016 was scheduled to be an Early Release Day, we have changed this and now we will have a FULL DAY!
  • The M.E.S. Kindergarten is once again sponsoring an “Open Your Heart” Food Drive to help feed families in need.  We are asking each student, if possible, to donate one or more non-perishable food item(s).  Please send in a donation with your student on our Valentine’s Day celebration here at school, Friday, February 12th.  All proceeds will go to St. Vincent DePaul in Greenville that provides food for our families in Mason.  On this day of love, let’s remember those who need a hand by opening our hearts.
  • Mason School Board Meeting on Monday, February 15th at 6:30pm.
  • Milford Mustangs will have an in person registration night on Wednesday, February 17th from 6pm – 8pm at the Milford Middle School for Football  and Cheer Season (https://mason.sau89.org/wp-content/uploads/Registration-for-Football-and-Cheer.pdf)
  • Just a reminder, The Wax Museum for Grade 3 is scheduled for Friday, February 19th.
  • No School – February 22nd – February 26th for Winter Recess.

In December we submitted an application to the New Hampshire Excellence in Education ( EDies) (http://www.edies.org/) Board to become Elementary School of the Year.  We received a call yesterday informing us that we have been chose to move to the next level in the process.   Over the next two weeks we will be working as a school to develop a 30 minute presentation that we will then present to the Edies Board in Concord, NH on February 2nd.

 On Thursday, January 21st we are asking all the students and staff to show their school pride by wearing either their Mason Mustang attire or the school colors.   We will be taking a brief video that will be used in the presentation.  We are very excited to share with the Board how awesome our school is. We will keep you posted on what happens after our presentation!

To Parents of Mason Elementary School,

The Town of Mason has approached us to use the school for the Primary Election.  The School Board has approved the use of the building which means we will be changing the school calendar.

  • There will be no school on Tuesday, February 9th, 2016.
  • Wednesday, February 10th, 2016 was scheduled to be an Early Release Day, we have changed this and now we will have a FULL DAY.

  • The Mason School Club would like to thank everyone who participated in this years Holiday Craft Fair. As most of you know, this fair is planned throughout the entire year. A lot of stores put their product on clearance at the end of each season. Please consider purchasing items (crafts ready to sell, supplies, wrapping supplies, etc) to donate to our fair. We can make anything into something! The more items donated, the more money goes directly to the students! Have a great winter vacation!
